No matter what company you work for or if you start up your own company, it's the leadership that helps motivate the staff to become a success in both workflow and creative productivity in your new company.
No matter who you research throughout time, you will find the same reasoning among those who are successful in business say the same thing, success begins with the little accomplishments and wins in your business. Whether it be gaining that first client, contract or making that first sale it becomes a win to build upon for the future.
Leadership or managers are responsible for motivating workers to be a success but in reality, they seem to forget that motivation inspires productivity, and instead they use their type of negative motivation as an intimidating tactic believing that intimidating workers to possibly lose their jobs is the best way to get them to work harder and be more creative. I am the opposite in that thinking, be kind and positively motivate your works and make them feel secure in their job and you'll retain them and gain productivity far beyond your wildest dreams.
When we as creators or as leaders make mistakes and correct them, that is a small win in our corner and the same goes for an employee who feels they aren't producing enough but then find a success that brings them and you joy should be celebrated as a small win on a daily basis.. So what is a small win? A small win is a task that you never thought would come to fruition, but all of a sudden proves to be a productive task and you ultimately pull off what seems like a miracle. One small win compounded on another small win produces the process of growth in your mission to be more successful in your business model. Hope that makes sense.
