Why you need a life coach

Why would you need a life coach?

It doesn’t matter if you are a low-level mail clerk looking to climb the ladder of success to the CEO chair, or a simple entrepreneur starting out in business, one thing is relevant in both lives, you need the support or sounding board of someone you trust – your life coach.

A life coach has the ability to hear you, define your desires and aspirations then help guide you onto a path of success by challenging you to find your inner strength to become better than yourself and succeed. The challenges might be to go back to school, admit your faults, gather your self-reflections and either modify them or change them altogether. Maybe even see the world from a different perspective through modification of habits and behaviors that are clogging your growth potential. The same goes for the people within your life. Some might be great while others might be toxic. Those who are your friends or your loved ones might have all the best of intentions, however, they lack the knowledge you need to succeed or make your dreams come true, or better yet, might just be hindering your ability to think clearly and produce actionable advice to succeed. This is when you need an unbiased life coach to help you sort through the garbage of your life and help you clear the path to your success.

Think back to when you were in high school, some of us needed a tutor to get through math or science right? Well, when we grow up, we sometimes need someone to help us unclutter our minds and thoughts, those people are called therapists. When it comes to business or even just live in general and we need feedback in a positive way, these people are called life coaches. That’s how one improves, we hire a life coach to help us define what is important in life and how to achieve our deepest goals. Take for example this little story from my life.

When I wrote my first book, I sent a gallery copy to a friend of mine who was also a published author. He returned the copy with purple writing on just about every page. I started from the back of the book on a Friday night and was so pissed off that he destroyed my book and his critiques were so disheartening that I threw the copy across the room and went to bed. The next morning over coffee, I picked up the copy and opened the first page to find his note that said, don’t take my critiques as a negative, you are a good writer but I want to encourage you to be a better write. Take my suggestions or don’t take them, but what ever you do, don’t ever stop creating and writing. I then went through each page and read his comments, they were all positive and I used every one of them in the final publication. His words to me stuck in my head and when I have a protegee come to me and ask me to review a manuscript, the first thing I say is, “If you don’t like the color Red, don’t ask me to review your work. Because I will rip your manuscript apart until you cry, but it’s because I will give you positive feedback to help make you a better writer, not because I don’t like your work. So with that said, this is what I do as a life coach, I will challenge you to be a better person, then help you rebuild your business life in order to help make you successful. I help my clients set goals and prioritize their ambitions. I help you cultivate your new identity by shifting from goals to finding what is passionate in your life and help you define what type of job you should be doing in life. Then once we get to that stage, I will support you in partnering you up with the right people help you succeed in those goals. If you are nodding your head in agreement, Shall we get to work? If so, contact me and let’s get you on that path to a better life and a successful business career that not only satisfies you, but also makes you money.
