Many business owners have realized that the gift God gave them and the talent to open their business was not enough to make them confident enough to be an entrepreneur. So what do they do? They hire a life coach to help them navigate the muddy waters to be successful.
If you're self-employed then it's critical to you and your business that you create a business plan that is both viable and obtainable. Whatever you do, don't wait until your business is about to sink or force you into bankruptcy to ask for help or guidance. This should be happening every month or at least every quarter. Don't put off asking for help, be an adult and ask for help before you actually need it. You can't always do it alone.
When I begin to consult with a new client, I always ask the same string of questions. What kind of education do you have? Have you worked in the industry in which you're trying to market your business? Have you taken business classes in accounting, marketing, computer classes, finance, etc? What is your background in your chosen field? Do you have the experience to draw upon in your chosen field to help you navigate the muddy waters you're wanting to swim in?
Can you believe that I've had clients that were broke not because they didn't know how to conduct business, but because they refused to charge people for their services? You can't be in business and not make money. There is a balance in business that must be achieved. In order to be a success you must charge for your services. You don't have to charge so much that you price yourself out of the game, nor should you charge so little that no one will trust you. You have to have the correct mindset to empower yourself and your business to succeed while giving up your fears, doubts, and any other issues you might have that are holding you back from succeeding.
The most important key piece of advice I can give anyone who reads this blog is this: Stay motivated in your business. Try to learn something new about your business or industry every week. Read books about your industry and take notes. Because if you don't stay motivated, you will not create new actions to be taken in order to succeed further. Never give up and push yourself every day. Believe in God and ask for assistance from a life coach or mentor. Always be inspired to do more, strive more, and accomplish more within your business.
