This week we are going to explore the various ways to help
you find your God-given talent or purpose in life. It’s not hard to do, but it
does take a little time and true honesty within yourself. Also, you must be
willing to step outside the box, so to speak, and search within your soul for your
true meaning of purpose. Let’s get started.
Over the many years I spent on Capitol Hill in Washington,
DC I encountered many a staffer who asked how they could get into lobbying and
not get bored with the job. My answer was always the same and it’s the same guidance
I’ll give you right now – what are you passionate about?
To find your purpose, you must decide what you are passionate
about. Once you find three issues that you are passionate about, then, and only
then, can you seek out the most profitable one to concentrate on in life as
your profession.
So how do you search for your passions? You look at what
influenced you as a child, Do you know what fascinated you or caught your
attention? Both as a child and an adult what brings you joy and causes your
passions to become exhilarated and develop into an interest that holds your
attention? What natural skills do you have or skills have you acquired over time?
What life-changing experiences turned your life around or lead you down a
new path in life? Are you getting it
now? Search your life history and find your passions to help you become who you
were meant to be in this journey called life. Then build your new career from
there. If you must go back to school to earn credentials, then do it, read books
to help educate yourself on this new path. But whatever you do, don’t hold back
from learning who you should have been in this life journey. Then go for it.
