Who are you living for? You or Someone else?

Who or What are you Living For?

Main question that I have for you today is this: if you were to evaluate your life as it is right now, are you doing what YOU want or are you doing what someone else wants you to do in life? Are you following someone else’s dream or your own? Is it your destiny you’re following or is it someone else’s? If you are following someone else’s dream then you are not fulfilling your purpose in life, it’s time to make some serious changes, don’t ya think?

So, if you want to make a change and do what you desire to do in life, what would it be? Will it support you financially and your family? Do you need to go back to school to learn certain things in order to accomplish your goal? What type of classes or trade craft do you need to learn? If you need to become certified, how would you go about it and how much would it cost?  It’s time that you do some serious soul searching to decide if you want to make a change in your life.

It truly is sad to think that people are living a life they weren’t meant to live because someone close to them told them they should live that live and be thankful for the opportunity to live that life. How selfish of people to impose their wants and desires onto someone else because they were never able to achieve their life purpose and they want someone else to live it for them.

Never wait until you are at retirement age to evaluate your life and wish you had done things differently. Maybe go back to school and get that long overdue degree you always wanted to get. Maybe travel and find new adventures but you never thought it was possible. Everything in life is possible. Have a credit card, go travel and pay it off next month if you have the income coming in. If you’re going to live paycheck to paycheck, make it worth your while. Never look back and have regrets that you didn’t do something you always wanted to do in life.

Now is the time to ask yourself, who are you living your life for? You or someone else? Do you have skills that you’re not using yet? Crafty, but not applying that craft to make money? Business desires but not applying the skills that business requires? Now is the time to do things that make YOU happy and bring you joy in life. Don’t be like me and look back 20-30 years and say to yourself, damn, I’ve missed so many opportunities because I was living for someone else’s dream. If only I lived for myself, I wonder where I’d be today?  Go live your life for you!
