Your story is your Business Story
A business story is that of the founding owner’s story
in case you were wondering. Everyone has a story to tell, but the story of how
thee owner and founder created the business you are in says a lot about the
integrity of the business itself. Your story not only tells of your background,
but also the lives of those who work for you in your business.
Your story can be converted into many things, your
core value system, your seminars and workshops should you conduct them. Maybe
even the services you produce in your business. Search your soul and come up with
the words to describe your story and how you came about in your current
business and share that story with those of your clients and future clients.
One of the worst things any business can do is to forget
where they came from and the why they started in business. My father used to
say that a story worth telling is the story of your life, where you came from
and your purpose in life. Your story has the power to inspire others, empower
the young and motivate others. And if you don’t think your story has the power
to do anything, I can tell you first hand it can and should.
Think about to the many obstacles you overcame to get
to where you are today, share those obstacles in your story so that others
might learn from them. If there was a time when life or a situation made you fearful,
share those fears so that others know they aren’t alone in feeling such
emotions.
If you like helping others, as I do, then let people
know that and specify the issues that you enjoy getting involved with. Mine are
helping veterans and their families, law enforcement causes and issues, defending
those in uniform, children’s causes.
