What are the essential habits of negative people?

The purpose of this week’s post is to give you the encouragement to clean up your inner circle so that you can live a more positive life of achievements, success, peace, and harmony each day. I am not saying that you will never have a day without negative feelings or moods, but you shouldn’t surround yourself with people who are constantly lacking any form of confidence. Not to mention them being totally filled with gloom and doom. These are the people who you should distrust because they are toxic to your well-being. Unfortunately, many people don’t realize just how negative they are or can be to others’ well-being. Their warning signs are clear and should be understood so that you can avoid their toxic nature pulling you into a black hole of doubt and negativity in your own life. Here is a list of negative signs to look out for so you don’t allow people like this to overshadow you and help you decide who should be removed from your life.

1)    They complain a lot.

Those who are negative people have a habit of complaining or whining a lot. They believe that the world is against them and conspiring to destroy everything they do in life. They complain about their work, coworkers, the weather, their siblings, or even just the weather. They refuse to work hard, and they have no creativity to help you succeed.

2)    They are underachievers.

Due to their lack of success, they cause negativity in those around them and condemn any effort to be successful. They believe they are the smartest thing since peanut butter at everything, business, sports, politics, etc. Not one else is as good as they are in many subjects. Never willing to learn new things and are emotionally critical about everything. They have no intelligence to speak of, yet they feel they are the most intelligent in the room and are very confrontational.

3)    They worry all the time.

Those who worry about everything all the time are worried about their health, and their mindset, and have a need to be protected all the time. If only they were mindful of reality, they could squash their worrying thoughts, but alas they won’t give up that necessity to worry about the slightest little thing.

4)    Pessimist

Negative people never seem to see happiness in anything, especially what is around them. These types of people always seem to see that everything they plan to do or are about to do is going to come out wrong or a mess.

5)    Thin Skinned

Negative people have the thinnest skin and are so skeptical about comments that they trigger negative emotions within them that cause conflict, even if the comment is a compliment. Innocent remarks are considered condescending remarks or absolutely rude remarks.

6)    Always adding negative comments to any good news given to them

Think about this, you have good news, and you want to share it with your friends, you always have that one person in the group who when you’re sharing your great news, will also want to make it sound like a negative. They will not only give you negative feedback on the news but also caution you to be careful and warn you of dangers should you accept the promotion or offer to which you have been given.

7)    Energy Vampires

Negative people are not only divas in their own minds, but they are also energy vampires who will suck out every bit of positive energy you have in your body. No matter what you do as a positive person, you will never get them to be positive in their actions, minds, or efforts. They will suck every bit of time, attention, and positive energy from your body to satisfy their ugliness.

8)    Missing out on the good things in life

Negative people are emotionless individuals who are devoid of any positive sensation in their bodies. They will never recognize any joy, contentment, or excitement and have no passion for anything. Remember they are fixated on the negative in everything, their jobs, their relationships, and most importantly their social status in life.

9)    They love the word But

A negative person will compliment you and then say “but” making their positive remark into a negative. For example, you invite them to dinner, and they complement your tablescape and then follow it with “But, you didn’t light the candles before I arrived?” making their compliment into an absolutely negative remark. They can’t help themselves to be negative. They might also comment on a restaurant choice as “but I would have chosen a different setting arrangement over this one. Never happy to be just included, they must always turn every compliment into a negative choice of remark.

10)They hate future projects and never get excited about them

Have you ever had a conversation with someone who could never attempt to talk about the future? That is a negative person, never interested in planning a project or trip positively. Why don’t they want to talk about the future, probably because they’re so wrapped up in their own misery today that they can’t see past tomorrow. A positive person knows how to dream, and how to plan and envision the future because you are a positive person with the energy to make things happen. So whatever you do, don’t let the negative people into your life and suck all the positive energy out of you so that you fail in this life.
